Rezept: Bananenkuchen

Recipe: Banana cake

What you need:

  • 5 tbsp apricot jam (for spreading)
  • 5 pcs eggs
  • 250g icing sugar
  • 125ml oil
  • 125ml water
  • 250g plain flour
  • 1 pack baking powder
  • 35g cocoa powder

For the cream:

  • 6 pcs bananas (for topping)
  • 250g Qimiq Vanilla
  • 250g whipped cream
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 packs of vanilla sugar

For the glaze

  • 1 pack chocolate glaze

Working time approx. 60 minutes
Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes

preparation
1. Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff. Beat the yolks with icing sugar and a pinch of salt until foamy. Then stir in the water and oil. Mix the baking powder with the flour and cocoa and stir into the mixture. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites.

2. Now spread the dough on a baking tray (approx. 40cm) lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C with top and bottom heat for approx. 30 minutes. Then let the cake cool.

3. In the meantime, you can prepare the cream. To do this, whip the cream until stiff. Stir the Qimiq vanilla until smooth, then add the sugar and vanilla sugar and mix. Fold in the whipped cream.

4. Peel the bananas and cut into slices. Now spread the apricot jam on the cooled cake and place the banana slices on top. Then spread the Qimiq cream on top.

5. Now put the cake in the fridge and let it cool for about 1 hour.

6. Then melt the chocolate glaze in a water bath and spread it on the banana cake. Allow to cool again.
